Get Your W-2 Form
Students who earn an hourly wage and/or salary from the University will be issued a W-2 form on or before January 31.
What is a W-2?
This form reports your annual earnings as well as the amount of federal, state, and other taxes withheld from your paycheck. To print a copy of your W-2, please follow the instructions below.
How to get your W-2
You can receive your W-2 electronically through myJHU. After logging in, hover over “HR” and click “W-2 eXpress.” For security purposes, you must enter and submit your login credentials again in order to retrieve and print a copy of your W-2 form.
Remember to update your address. You can update your address online using Employee Self-Service – it’s user-friendly and easy to access.
If you no longer work for Johns Hopkins, visit www.w2express.com to access your W-2 or call 877-325-9239 (Tax Form Management). Use Employer Code 11472.
On the Web or by phone, you will be prompted to enter your Social Security number (without dashes) and your default eight digit PIN: the middle two digits of your Social Security number and your birth date in MMDDYY format. For example, if your Social Security number were 814-49-5731 and your birth date were July 22, 1948, your PIN would be 49072248.
How do I get a duplicate W-2?
By phone, you may request a W-2 reprint and choose to have it faxed or mailed to your home address or another address.
Please note if you have not registered to receive your W-2 electronically you will be able to order one duplicate W-2 free of charge. If a second duplicate is requested there will be a $18.00 administrative fee.
