We’re excited to serve all JHU students, including those who choose to work, go to graduate or professional school, take a gap year, or serve in the military.
Where Our Students Intern and Work
This is just a sample. Don’t see your dream company? Tell us where you want to go, and we’ll add them to our recruiting list.
Your Career Tool
New Johns Hopkins students begin thinking about their career journey in their first year. After you register for classes, sign up for our online career platform, Handshake. This connects students to career resources, events, and directly to employers hiring on campus.
First Year Launch Program
Part of a first-year’s summer to-do list is the Launch program. This program is a dedicated first-year program that helps students start to explore post-graduate opportunities, meet their first year Career Coach, and get ready to apply for internships and jobs when the time is right.
Each month, your Career Coach will guide you through key milestones, from exploring possible careers to planning your first summer. Students hear from their coaches in July or August. Find out more about Launch.
Get Specific in Career Academies
First-year students graduate from Launch into a Career Academy, which will help you make connections and build skills relevant to the fields you’re interested in. Most students choose more than one, which reflects JHU’s interdisciplinary curriculum, and the vibrant diversity of our student body!
