Residential Life Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)?

Are the Residential Life Offices still open?

At this time all Residential Life Offices are closed, with staff working remotely Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.

If I’m approved and currently living on campus, is my Residence Director (RD) still available to me?

Yes! Please view our Contact Us page (or the contact information outlined above on this page) and find your building for your RD. Their updated contact information will be available there.

Is my RA still available to contact?

Yes. RA’s are still available should you need them or have peer-to-peer questions. You can reach them via the avenues they’ve shared with you (cell phone number, GroupMe chat, Email etc.)

Are RA or Residential Life programs still happening?

No. In adherence of local and state government advisories, and the US Center for Disease Control (CDC), Residential Life has cancelled all planned and future programs through the end of the semester. We are practicing social distancing, consistent hand washing, and taking all precautionary measures to prevent social gatherings of any sort.

I was hired as an Resident Advisor (RA) for 2020-2021, what should I expect at this time?

Our office will be in touch with the 2020-2021 RA Staff in the coming weeks with introductory information of what they will need to know for the summer and next academic year. If you have any specific questions, please reach out to our office at ResidentialLife@jhu.edu.
