2017-2018 Fraternity and Sorority Life Awards Information

All Award Applications and Letters are due via the online form
Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 11:59 PM.

Chapter who have not completed the Chapter Assessment Program or have a current sanction are not eligible for chapter awards but individual members are eligible for the individual awards.

(Awards must be submitted via Hopkins Groups here. Each nomination must attach supporting documentation to be considered either as a word document or PDF)

Chapter Awards

Chapters from all three councils are eligible to win. Winners will be one chapter from each council which means there will be three winners per award. Chapter Delegate of the year will have one winner from each council.

Excellence in Community Service

This award recognizes a chapter from each council that demonstrates the greatest commitment to the ideal of service to others often expressed in fraternity and sorority ritual. Only chapters that submit the Chapter Assessment Program will be eligible to receive this award.

Excellence in Philanthropy Award

This award recognizes a chapter from each council that demonstrates the greatest commitment to the ideal of philanthropy to others often expressed in fraternity and sorority ritual. Only chapters that submit the Chapter Assessment Program will be eligible to receive this award.

This set of awards only one person/chapter can win from the entire Fraternity and Sorority Life Community

Fraternity and Sorority Life Woman of the Year

This award recognizes the most outstanding individual female member of the Fraternity and Sorority Life community. Information encompassing the totality of the individual’s undergraduate career will be considered in determining the recipient of this award.

Fraternity and Sorority Life Man of the Year

This award recognizes the most outstanding individual male member of the Fraternity and Sorority Life community. Information encompassing the totality of the individual’s undergraduate career will be considered in determining the recipient of this award.

Fraternity and Sorority Life Senior Leadership & Campus Activities Award (Male and Female)

This award recognizes the senior who has given most selflessly of his/her time to campus activities, his/her fraternity/sorority, the Fraternity and Sorority Life community, and/or the Hopkins community with emphasis on leadership. Applicants must provide the following:

This award recognizes the senior fraternity and sorority member who has demonstrated academic excellence. Applicants must provide the following:

Advisor of the Year

This award recognizes the advisor, whether that be on or off campus that has provided the greatest support for his or her undergraduate chapter at Johns Hopkins University.

Most Improved Chapter

This award recognized the chapter that has made the largest improvement over the course of the year. Only chapters that submit the Chapter Assessment Program are eligible to win this award.
