Oversees the Art Workshops’ photography program and teaches four courses per semester.
Berger received an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. A practicing Fine Arts Photographer, Berger supervises the Photography program: The Homewood Art Workshops in the Johns Hopkins University School of Arts and Sciences as well as being a fulltime instructor. She teaches interdisciplinary courses at JHU including Writing Seminars, History of Science and Political Science. She currently teaches in the Museum Studies and Master of Liberal Arts programs. Berger is an instructor at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Division of Continuing Studies, where she is the recipient of an excellence in teaching award. She is also is an instructor in the JHU Summer Abroad program at the Burren College of Art County Clare, Ireland. Berger is a recipient of two artist residencies in Rochefort en Terre, Brittany, France and has been awarded numerous teaching grants through JHU (Arthur Vining Davis, Arts Innovation).
