The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs will be providing information and highlighting internships/scholarships updated every month with deadlines and requirements. SEO (Sponsors of Educational Opportunity)

Internships specifically for African American, Hispanic/Latinos, Asian/Southeast Asian, and Native American students in areas of:

  • Accounting
  • Asset Management
  • Corporate Law (For graduating Seniors and recent graduates who plan to attend law school the summer following their SEO summer)
  • Global Corporate Financial Leadership
  • Informational Technology
  • Investment Banking
  • Philanthropy

The United Negro College Fund

The United Negro College Fund and The Merck Company Foundation have collaborated to bring an exciting initiative to colleges and universities across the country. This program is designed to increase the number of African Americans in the pipeline of biomedical science education and research. Fifteen awards were made in 2006.

Each award consists of:

  • Scholarship up to $25,000
    Two summer internship stipends totaling a minimum of $10,000

Whether you are just beginning to think about careers, are seeking a job or internship, or applying to graduate school, the Career Center is here to help. Looking for a place to start? Drop by our office to get an overview of services from a Peer Assistant. Log into your J-Connect account and set up your profile section. You can upload a resume and begin exploring some of the resources the Career Center has to offer.
