Joseph Colón

Director for Diversity and Inclusion

Joseph Colón has been a student affairs professional since 1998. Currently, he serves as the Director for Diversity and Inclusion, has been the Director for the Office of Multicultural Affairs and has worked as an Assistant Director for Residential Life at Johns Hopkins University. Since arriving to JHU in 2000, Joseph has committed himself to cultivating true partnerships that extend throughout the campus community and Baltimore City. Joseph has also worked for Trinity College and Temple University respectively as a dedicated student affairs professional. He has passion for topics surrounding identity, diversity and inclusion and strategizing ways to provide brave spaces to explore these identities.

Joseph earned his M.P.S. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He also received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Temple University. He is a loyal fan of all things Temple University, loves to improve and consult businesses, and has a huge obsession for Batman. In his spare time, he loves to hike, read, and spend time with his wife and family.
