Parents and Family Hosts Needed for Spring Admitted Student Receptions

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is currently seeking hosts for spring Admitted Student Receptions (ASRs) in various locations around the country.

ASRs are an opportunity for admitted students and their families to build a connection with our community and learn more about the Hopkins experience. These receptions are a casual way for admitted students to meet, mingle, and have their questions answered about the university. Many students who attend these events have not yet committed to JHU, and for some this may be their only personal contact with the university before they choose to enroll. By introducing them to current members of the Hopkins family, we hope to provide a taste of what it means to be a Blue Jay while also celebrating their admission.

Our hosts often hold these receptions in their homes or offices, and are responsible for providing light refreshments. The number of guests ranges in size based on the location—our office is happy to provide an attendance estimate for specific events.

We are currently seeking hosts for receptions in the following areas:

  • Bay Area, CA
  • Columbus, OH
  • Minneapolis, MN
  • Monmouth County, NJ
  • Philadelphia, PA
  • Princeton, NJ
  • San Diego, CA
  • Westchester, NY

If you are interested in hosting one of these receptions, please email Stephanie Cerini at at your earliest convenience.

We appreciate your continued support!
