Kayla Cullum, MA

Assistant Director

Ms. Cullum joined the Blue Jay family in February 2021 as the Assistant Director of the Office of Pre-Professional Advising where she serves pre-health students and alumni. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Communications and Sociology from Salisbury University and her Masters of Arts in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Ball State University. During her undergraduate career at SU, Ms. Cullum was highly involved in Sorority and Fraternity life after becoming a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha and has continued to serve her sorority post grad through several different volunteer roles with ZTA as well as other organizations. Ms. Cullum began working in higher education at the University of Maryland in their Health Professions Advising Office, where she served as the primary advisor for UMD’s allied health student population and managed their Guaranteed Nursing Pathways Partnership with the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Being Baltimore born and raised, she is excited to be here and get to work with some amazing Blue Jays!

Favorite spot on campus: Anywhere I can sit in an Adirondack chair in the sunshine! I usually have luck right in front of shriver, but also love the tables right outside of the library.

Favorite restaurant/ food/ meal: Carbs, LOL! But seriously, I cannot live without pasta, vodka sauce, and chicken tendies.

Fun Fact: I don’t have a middle name!
