Komal Raani Dilawari, MS

Assistant Director

Ms. Dilawari joined the Office of Pre-Professional Advising as an Assistant Director in January 2023. As Assistant Director, she will serve pre-health advising for freshmen and pre-law advising for all students and alumni. Ms. Dilawari received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina State University (Go Wolfpack!) and her Masters of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Dilawari’s passion for education began as an undergraduate student when she was a Teaching Assistant which led her to serve as a corps member with Teach For America – Baltimore. After obtaining her Master’s at Hopkins while teaching in Baltimore city for over 4 years, she decided to take her passion to the University of Maryland to work in the Business school as a program manager/advisor to graduate students. Ms. Dilawari is excited to advise undergraduate students pursuing health or law careers and help them grow academically and professionally.

Favorite spot on campus: The library – I spent a lot of time there as a graduate student.

Favorite restaurant/ food/ meal: Ice Cream or any type of dessert – I will never say no to having some!

Fun Fact: I’ve lived in Baltimore City for over 10 years!
