JH Rec App Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I find the app?  A: Find a direct link to the iTunes store and Google Play at jhu.edu/recreation.

Q: Is the app required to participate in group classes?  A: The app is not required for class participation, however, all classes have a maximum capacity and spaces are given to those who have registered in advance or arrive first. If you choose not to download the app, arrive early to claim a spot!

Q: I can’t register for class. What’s going on?  A: There are two possibilities. You might be attempting to register too early. Reservations can be made just 24-hours in advance. The 2nd reason is that you may be temporarily blocked.

Q: Why have I been blocked from registering from class?  A: Participants who register for class and do not withdraw (to open a space for another participant) or who simply do not show up, may be temporarily blocked. After the 3rd infraction, access will be denied for 30 days.

Smart Flow Yoga @ Evans Room East
Apr 24 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Smart Flow Yoga is a breath-based movement yoga class with focus on body alignment. New students will gain a foundation in the basic asanas while more advanced students have the opportunity to push further.

Boxing Circuit @ Evans Room West
Apr 24 @ 6:15 pm – 7:00 pm

Boxing Circuit incorporates boxing technique and sports drills. Participants will make contact with heavy bags and focus mitts. Hand wraps are required. Bring your own or purchase in the Rec Office.

Zumba® & Toning Fusion @ Evans Room East
Apr 24 @ 6:15 pm – 7:30 pm

Zumba® & Toning Fusion is perfect for those who want to party and focus on body toning and sculpting! Light hand weights will be used for a portion of the class but participants can choose to dance without weights as well.

Spinning® & Core Training @ Evans Room West
Apr 24 @ 7:15 pm – 8:15 pm

Spinning® & Core Training consists of 45-minutes of indoor cycling along with 15-minutes of resistance work for the abdominals and lower back. Class is limited to 20 participants.
