Data Requests
Data requests allows Johns Hopkins University affiliates to electronically request data regarding the student population from the Office of the Registrar. The Office of the Registrar fulfills data requests with the understanding that the provided data will only be used for the stated purpose and will not be further distributed.
In order to submit a request, please submit a data request form.
Amending Pending Requests
If you have already submitted a data request and would like to make an amendment to a pending request, please do not submit a new request; instead email datarequests@jhu.edu with any changes.
Requests by Non-JHU Affiliates
All non-JHU affiliates will need to send requests to the Office of the Registrar at datarequests@jhu.edu. Requests made by non-JHU affiliates will be subject to approval. The requesting email must include the following:
- Name
- Phone number
- Detailed description of requested data
- Description of how data will be used
- When data is required
- What format would you like the requested data? (e.g. PDF, Excel)
The Office of the Registrar complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) law that governs the release of and access to student education records, and gives students certain rights with respect to their education records.
