Data Requests

The data request form allows Johns Hopkins University affiliates to electronically request data regarding the student population from the Office of the Registrar. In order to submit a request, please follow the link at the bottom of this page. Please note that you will be asked to log in using your JHU ID and password before proceeding.

If you have already submitted a data request and would like to make an amendment to a pending request, please do not submit a new request; instead email datarequests@jhu.edu with any changes.

The Office of the Registrar fulfills data requests with the understanding that the provided data will only be used for the stated purpose and will not be further distributed.

All non-JHU affiliates will need to send requests to the Office of the Registrar at datarequests@jhu.edu. Requests made by non-JHU affiliates will be subject to approval. The requesting email must include the following:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Phone Number
  • Detailed description of requested data
  • Description of how data will be used
  • When data is required
  • What format would you like the requested data? (e.g. PDF, Excel)

The JHU Office of the Registrar complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) law that governs the release of and access to student education records, and gives students certain rights with respect to their education records.
