Nancy Russell, DNP
Nancy G. Russell (she/her/hers) has 12 years of nursing experience, including eight as a board certified family nurse practitioner (FNP). She earned her BSN and MSN degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her DNP degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Nancy is passionate about improving the health of individuals and populations in the primary care setting. As a FNP, Nancy has provided comprehensive, primary healthcare for families across the lifespan in rural North Carolina, and has spent the last several years in university student health settings. She is a full-time faculty member at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, and maintains a faculty FNP practice at the Johns Hopkins University Student Health and Wellness Center. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Nancy worked full-time as a FNP at the Georgetown University Student Health Center, where she also served as the Director of Outreach and Engagement. Nancy is the current Region IV Representative to the Board of Directors for the American College Health Association. In her free time she enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband, son, and their cat, Daisy.
