Assistant Director for Student Development

Venice’s experience includes extensive academic advising, student development programming, and retention initiatives for first-generation & pre-professional student populations. Prior to her role at Hopkins, she directed a pilot High School Transition program for 9th and 10th grade students at DC Prep Charter School. In addition, she served as a Pre-Professional Academic Advisor at Rutgers University – Newark. Furthermore, she oversaw the pre-college readiness programs (including TRIO readiness) at Essex County Community College in Newark, NJ. Venice is a New Jersey native and alumna of Rutgers University – Newark, where she earned a Bachelors and Masters degree from the School of Public Affairs and Administration. Her favorite hobbies include reading, exercising, and devoting her time to being a great public servant volunteering in the community.
