Work Schedule Rule

Based on the student’s status and type of position you are hiring the student into, you will use the following Work Schedule Rule on the ISR New Hire. Learn more about the number of hours a student may work as well as overtime pay.

Hourly/Salary WAGE Positions

Undergrad OR Graduate

• Enter the total number of hours student is ‘committing’ to work in your department
• Work Schedule Rule = Student

Visiting Student

• Enter total hours student is ‘committing’ to work in your department
• Work Schedule Rule = Student

Postdoctoral Fellow

• Weekly Work Hours – ENTER 37.5, unless Part Time
• Work Schedule Rule = 37.5 WK5

Fellowship Positions

• Weekly Work Hours – Enter 1.0
• Work Schedule Rule = Fellow
