The JHU Student Employee of the Year Award is presented annually to an outstanding undergraduate and/or graduate student who has made a significant contribution to the university through their student job by consistently demonstrating good work ethics, reliability, initiative, creative thinking, and professionalism; either on-campus or off.

The winning student receives a cash award, commemorative gift, certificate of recognition, and is entered in the state competition. State winners are entered into the regional competition and so on until the national title is awarded. Increasing cash prizes and other gifts are awarded along the way. The students who place 1st and 2nd are also honored and awarded numerous prizes.

All nominees and their supervisors are invited to the annual JHU Student Employment Awards Reception where the winning student is announced. The awards reception is held each April, during National Student Employment Week.

We invite you to view a list of previous winners.

Another highlight of National Student Employment Week at Hopkins is the naming of the JHU Supervisor of the Year.
