Executive Director for Student Transitions and Family Engagement
Emily Calderone began working at Johns Hopkins University in 2008 and since 2013, she has been a part of the Dean of Student Development portfolio in a variety of capacities. She holds a dual role as Special Advisor and Executive Director for Student Transitions and Family Engagement. In her role as Executive Director, she provides oversight for the First-Year Experience, including New Student Orientation and the First-Year Mentors as well as Parent and Family Relations. In her Special Advisor role, she takes on short- and long-term projects that align with the portfolio’s goals. Emily is an alumna of the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she received an M.Ed in Higher Education Administration. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Muhlenberg College.
