The Concert Orchestra opens its 2017-18 season, with a free concert featuring the following: George Frideric Handel: Concerto Grosso, Op. 3, No. 1 Béla Bartók: Romanian Folk Dances Joseph Haydn: Symphony No. 101, “The Clock” Blair Skinner conducts. All Concert Orchestra performances feature small chamber music ensembles. Performances are held in the Bunting-Meyerhoff Interfaith Center and feature free admission.

The 26th Annual Family Concert, free, features selections from Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring and Smetana’s The Bartered Bride, with beatboxer/vocal percussionist Shodekeh. Jed Gaylin conducts this free concert. After the concert, the audience is invited onstage to meet the musicians and see their instruments up close.
