  • Direct people around building
  • Audience and ticket counting
  • Collecting sheet music
  • Set-up and clean up of post-concert reception
  • Answering questions

As a volunteer, you can:

  • Listen to the pre-concert talk
  • Enjoy the concert
  • Meet orchestra members and soloists
  • Have a great time!

Concerts take place on the JHU campus. For more information on our venues, including directions and parking information, view the Venues and Directions page. Parking is available in the underground South Garage (3101 Wyman Park Drive, Baltimore 21218), for a fee. For concerts at the SDS Room and Interfaith Center, you can park for free in the neighborhood around N. Charles St.

Students volunteers (middle and high school) qualify for Service Learning Hours for their HSO volunteer time. Please bring your form to each concert and ask the volunteer manager to sign it for you.

Volunteers are asked to dress in nice dark pants or skirt, white top, and comfortable shoes. For more information and to sign up as a volunteer, please email hso@jhu.edu or call 410 516-6542.
