The Concert Orchestra, led by newly appointed conductor Jordan Randall Smith, opens its 2018-19 season with a free concert featuring the following:
- Florence Price: Ethiopia’s Shadow in America
- Franz Doppler: Fantaisie Pastorale Hongroise
Gabriela Nisly, flute, HSO Concerto Competition runner-up - Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Suite from Swan Lake
Jordan Randall Smith conducts. All Concert Orchestra performances are free, no tickets required, and held at the Bunting-Meyerhoff Interfaith Center. Small chamber music ensembles are featured at beginning of program.
