Wednesday, December 4, 7-8pm EST | FLI Compass: What to Expect During Winter Break The FLI Compass Series is designed for families of First-Year FLI (First Generation Limited Income students) Please join us to engage with a panel of FLI students and staff as well as receive an overview of the resources and opportunities provided by Success Coaching in Academic Advising (SCAA) and Student Outreach and Support (SOS). Together, we’ll explore what to anticipate during the winter break and hear firsthand experiences in supporting and connecting with students during this extended time when students often return home. FLI students often highlight their families as a primary source of support; however, navigating winter break can be challenging for both families and students. When students return home after their time at college, they often bring new experiences, boundaries, and expectations. In this session, panelists will share valuable strategies and insights to help maximize the winter break as a time of rest and reconnection, providing support for students as they reach the midway point of the academic year. | |
