Student Organizations
African Student Association (ASA)
The African Students Association (ASA) of the Johns Hopkins University comprises a group of students dedicated to the education of the Hopkins community at large of the different cultures that comprise the African continent.
Black Student Union (BSU)
The purpose of the Black Student Union and its events and administrative functions shall be to provide and maintain the best possible conditions in which Black students may receive a complete education.
Caribbean Culture Society (CCS)
The mission of the Caribbean Cultural Society is to provide a social group for interaction between Johns Hopkins University students (graduate and undergraduate), faculty and staff with Caribbean backgrounds or interests.
Delta Xi Phi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. (DXP)
Delta Xi Phi is a national sorority that has had a chapter at Johns Hopkins University since 2003. As an organization, we are dedicated to sisterhood, friendship, advancement of women through higher education, multiculturalism, and community service.
Dunbar-Baldwin-Hughes Theatre Company (DBH)
The Dunbar Baldwin Hughes Theatre Company produces African and African-American plays, skits, monologues, poetry recitals, and creative dance presentations. It aims to uplift the Johns Hopkins University student community through exposure to the traditions and experiences of African-Americans while supplementing the experience, training, and exposure of the company’s actors.
FSA (Filipino Student Association)
Filipino Students Association strives to celebrate and promote awareness of the culture, language, and history of the Philippines through cultural nights, potlucks, documentary screenings, folk dance performances, and others.
Hopkins Organization for Pre-Health Education–Minority Association for Pre-Health Students (HOPE-MAPS)
Hopkins Organization for Pre-Health Education (HOPE) is the undergraduate Minority Association of Premedical Students (MAPS) chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA). We are dedicated to increasing the quality and quantity of minority.
Global Medical Brigades
Global Medical Brigades is an international network of more than 50 university clubs and volunteer organizations that provide communities in developing nations with sustainable health care solutions. Our current emphasis is in Honduras, where nearly 1,000 GMB volunteers travel annually to deliver services to our 40 communities.
Gospel Choir
The Johns Hopkins University Gospel Choir spreads the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Hopkins campus and Baltimore community through song and worship. We aim to provide a setting where people of all backgrounds, races, and religions can come together.
Inter-Asian Council (IAC)
IAC strives to promote identification with and preservation of the cultural traditions of Asians and Asian-Americans and is dedicated in working together with individuals from different backgrounds to achieve a greater understanding of various traditions and lifestyles.
Iranian Cultural Society (ICS)
The Iranian Cultural Society aims to provide members with meetings and venues interact with others who have similar interests, as well as to promote Persian culture and its values in the university community.
Japanese Students International (JSI)
The aim of the Japanese Student International is to provide fun activities and informational sessions for students who have an interest in the Japanese culture and language. We aim to promote and enjoy Japanese culture through cooking and festivals.
Korean Students Association (KSA)
The Korean Students Association is an association of Korean-American and Korean International Students at the Johns Hopkins University. We host social, cultural, and academic events,JHU KSA hosts social, cultural, and academic events, which are open to everyone who attends
Lambda Epsilon Mu (LEM)
Lambda Epsilon Mu is established to empower and inspire Latino pre-health students to address and solve the health care disparities affecting the underprivileged Latino population.
Latino Estudiantil (OLÉ)
OLÉ serves to catalyze the Latinos at Johns Hopkins into a proactive, empowered community. We strive to create a positive, inclusive environment that celebrates and promotes the history, culture, intellectual contributions, growth, education, and empowerment of all Latinos.
Taiwanese American Student Association (TASA)
The Taiwanese American Students Association at Johns Hopkins University is dedicated to promoting Taiwanese cultural awareness on the Homewood Campus and beyond—through social, cultural, and educational events.
