Modinat Sanni
Associate Director of Programming, FLI Network and Director, Hop-In
Hailing from Brooklyn, New York Modinat graduated from SUNY Stony Brook University with a Bachelor’s in Health Science and Sociology and earned her Master’s in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Modinat joined the Center for Student Success in February of 2019 and brings a wealth of experience in community building, academic advising and programming.
Prior to coming to Johns Hopkins, Modinat worked in Residence Life at Miami University in Ohio and Rutgers University in New Jersey. Her experience in this functional area sparked her passion for social justice and is integrated in her work with marginalized populations and first generation students.
Outside of work, Modinat enjoys reading, listening to music, dance and traveling abroad. Her most recent trip was to Phuket, Thailand. Her preferred musical genres include Afro-beat, Reggae and R&B. Finally,though she can’t sing very well, she is an AMAZING karaoke performer.
