JUMP-START Pre-Orientation

The JUMP-START Pre-Orientation experience supports first-year students as they transition from populations that are underrepresented in medicine to Johns Hopkins University. This four-day, three-night experience is held off site prior to New Student Orientation. This experience enables incoming students to meet new friends as well as learn more about the JHU academic and social cultures from other JHU students.

Information regarding JUMP-START Pre-Orientation and how to apply to be a JUMP Scholar is sent to invited first-year students at the beginning of the summer leading up to their first semester at Johns Hopkins.
