Rachell Krell

Triage Specialist, Success Coaching Program in Academic Advising

With over five years of higher education experience, Rachell has supported students in various roles within Residence Life, LGBTQ+ Student Services, Civic Engagement, and First-Year Experience. Most recently, she served as a Student Success Coach for the Emerging Scholars and La Vida Scholars programs at Salem State University, where she provided one-on-one support for first-generation and limited-income students. As a queer woman who became disabled during her undergraduate career, Rachell understands firsthand that students’ realities and understandings of themselves continuously evolve and shift. Her holistic and asset-based approach reflects this, as she focuses on leveraging each student’s lived experiences and salient identities to overcome barriers and achieve their goals.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Rachell enjoys exploring new vegan restaurants, meditating with crystals, and watching TV shows like Abbott Elementary, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and The Bachelor franchise. She is a lover of musical theatre and can often be found singing showtunes.
