Ami Cox
Associate Director, Success Coaching Program in Academic Advising (KSAS)
Ami Cox brings over twenty years of experience working with the undergraduate population at Hopkins to her role as an Associate Director of SCAA in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. She spent many years running undergraduate research fellowships before moving into academic advising in 2016. She supports her advisees holistically and with great appreciation for the unique experiences every student brings to Hopkins.
Ami studied English at The College of Notre Dame of Maryland and then earned a master’s degree in Liberal Arts at Johns Hopkins University. As both a first-generation college student and an alumna of Hopkins, she feels closely connected to our FLI students and finds coaching them throughout their journeys immensely rewarding.
Outside of work, Ami enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, reading, and watching movies. She is also an animal lover, with a special affinity for humpback whales.
