Assistant Director of Student Development

Once a first-generation college student herself, Michelle has dedicated her career to serving her community through advocacy and effective programming. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biology from Towson University. She began her career in higher education as a health professions program coordinator at Bowie State University. While there, Michelle served as a health professions advisor to students with diverse academic and career goals. Recently, Michelle has served as an academic advisor to students pursuing a major in Biological Sciences at the University of Maryland, College Park. Michelle is excited to join the JHU and JUMP community. She is passionate about supporting students pursuing careers in medicine and allied health by dismantling barriers often experienced by underrepresented, limited-income, and first-generation communities. She is committed to creating programming that will generate opportunities to assist students in reaching their professional goals.
