Undergraduate Student Analytics

The Office of Undergraduate Student Analytics is responsible for three main areas:

  1. Large-scale student surveys
  2. Data analytics
  3. Coordinating student learning outcomes assessment efforts within Student Affairs

Supporting these three areas are many ongoing data management tasks. The student data that we regularly collect, analyze, and report serves as a resource for many Johns Hopkins offices, faculty and staff. Here is more detail on what we do:

  • Track and report key metrics for ASEN undergraduates, along with an update schedule
  • Provide research consultation, analysis, and reporting on strategic projects for key stakeholders
  • Track student retention and graduation rates
  • Conduct analyses in support of measuring progress toward divisional and university goals
  • Administer large-scale student surveys and report the results to stakeholders
  • Coordinate divisional student learning outcomes assessment
  • Provide assessment training, consultation, and resources for division
  • Post a calendar for assessment, surveys, and other recurrent work products
  • Maintain the Common Data Set, and act as institutional contact for undergraduate guidebooks and some other external reporting
