Upcoming NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program Workshop

Dr. Kelly Barry will hold two workshops for seniors and first-year graduate students applying to the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). This fellowship offers three years of support for advanced study in the mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, behavioral, and social sciences, including the history of science and the philosophy of science, and to research-based Ph.D. degrees in science education at accredited U.S. institutions.

The workshops will focus on the personal statement.

The first workshop will be held on September 4 from 12-1pm at the East Baltimore campus (STILE Classroom – PCTB 115).

A second workshop will be held on September 14 from 12-1pm on the Homewood campus (228 Malone Hall).

If you are interested in coming, no RSVP or drafts are necessary. If you cannot make it to the workshop, a recorded version will be available through our NSF GRFP page after September 15.

As a resource for you, there is a portfolio of previous winning NSF GRF applications from JHU students in the Office of Study Abroad (Levering Hall 04B, regular hours are 10am-4:30 pm). Just walk in and ask to see the portfolio. If you are interested in applying, please contact Dr. Barry.
