Rhodes Scholarship, 2019

The Rhodes scholarship was an amazing opportunity to explore a new way of studying, a new culture, and the medieval town of Oxford. I got to attend formal dinners in dining halls from back in the 1400s, and it was such an interesting experience to be walking in the same streets that have for the most part stayed the same for so many years. It’s just like traveling back in time. The best part is the Rhodes community and the people you get to know and get so close to. I still talk weekly with my fellow friends who are each individually so talented even though we only got to be there for 6 months due to Covid-19. The academic environment at Oxford allows so much flexibility to be able to find and make strong bonds with other students of so many different perspectives and backgrounds.
