In addition to issuing J-Cards, the J-Card Office provides several additional services to Johns Hopkins students, faculty and staff:
Student organizations may reserve a J-Card device so they can accept J-Cash as a form of payment. To reserve a device, please complete the PDF Document: Loaner Equipment Agreement prior to picking up the equipment to ensure that we can properly credit your organization after the event. You can either email the form to firstname.lastname@example.org or stop by the J-Card Office to pick up a form.
Departments may borrow J-Card devices on a limited basis, or purchase J-Card equipment to facilitate J-Cash and/or credit card processing.
A J-Card or copy card is required to print or copy materials at the Milton S. Eisenhower Library or Brody Learning Commons. Students, faculty, and staff can use their J-Cash for these services and do not need to purchase a separate copy card. Visitors can purchase non-refundable copy cards by credit card at any of the three J-Card deposit machines in the library or buy one for cash at the MSE circulation desk. Copy cards will expire after one year of inactivity and any remaining funds will be forfeited.
Departments with special requests can contact the J-Card Office about specific layouts and designs.
Need a new photo for your passport or your OPT application? For just $11 (plus tax) the Office of ID Card Services will take your photo and provide two copies printed in compliance with US passport photo requirements. No appointment is necessary – just walk in and in a matter of minutes you will receive your photos. Additional copies of photos can be purchased for $5.50 (plus tax).
