Rosalia Polanco

Academic Advisor/Success Coach, KSAS

With over 6 years of experience working with young people, Rosalia finds passion in helping students work towards their goal of attending and completing higher education. Rosalia was born in the Dominican Republic, raised in New York City, and was the first in her family to attend and graduate from college. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Davidson College and a Masters of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. Most immediately prior to joining the SCAA team, Rosalia supported D.C. high school students in applying to national and local scholarships, exploring career pathways, and applying to college. Rosalia also has experience working in the national non-profit sector, at a public university in NYC, and at a rural high school in North Carolina.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and entertaining her cavapoo dog, Jaxx. She has a personal goal of visiting all U.S. National Parks. Rosalia is looking forward to connecting with our FLI students and supporting their journey!
