Marcie Kolacki

Hopkins Symphony Orchestra, General Manager

Marcie Kolacki, originally from Phoenix, Arizona, has established herself as a dedicated cellist and artistic administrator. She recently completed a fellowship with the New World Symphony, and has been mentored by musicians from leading international orchestras including the New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and the London Symphony. To the same degree, Marcie’s skills as an artistic administrator and coordinator have led her to positions at the Music Academy of the West, Carnegie Hall, and Baltimore Symphony’s OrchKids. Her versatility in performance and administration has proven to be a valuable asset to every performing arts organization with which she has worked, and has continually reinforced her commitment to musician advocacy.

Marcie completed her bachelor’s degree at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, and earned a master’s degree and performance certificate at the Manhattan School of Music. Her hobbies include baking, taking pictures of her cat, and searching for the best ghost story of all time.
