Second-Year Meal Plans

Second-year Blue Jays have the choice of our several different plans based on their housing accommodations. These plans were created to offer greater flexibility for second-year students who have completed one year at Hopkins and are experienced in juggling a class and extracurricular work load. Second-year plans also provide the ability for Blue Jays to begin cooking independently in their rooms with plans that offer additional dining dollars and less or no meals.

Blue Jays can use their meal swipes at the Fresh Food Café, Nolan’s on 33rd located in Charles Commons or Meals-in-a-Minute at the Charles Street Market (class days only).

Option of No Meal Plan

Since students living in Bradford and Homewood Apartments and those in Roger’s House have access to their own full size kitchen with amenities, these students have the option not to have a meal plan. They have the option to enroll in a meal plan during their housing process or through their Star Rez Housing Portal. If these students choose not to have a meal plan, they will not be able to access the Fresh Food Cafe or Nolan’s since these locations for 2021-2022 are for residential meal plan holders only, but are able to visit our other locations: Charles Street Market, Crepe Studio (located inside the Charles Street Market), Levering Kitchens and Levering Cafe with Jcash, Credit and Debit.

Meal plans are optional for second-year students living in Homewood and Bradford Apartments or Roger’s House.

Meal Plan prices are subject to change upon approval of JHU Administration.
