Second-Year Meal Plans

Second-year Blue Jays have the choice of our several different plans based on their housing accommodations. These plans were created to offer greater flexibility for second-year students who have completed one year at Hopkins and are experienced in juggling a class and extracurricular workload. Second-year plans also provide the ability for Blue Jays to begin cooking independently in their rooms with plans that offer additional dining dollars and less or no meals.

Blue Jays can use their meal swipes at the Hopkins Café, Nolan’s on 33rd located in Scott-Bates Commons (formerly Charles Commons), Meals-in-a-Minute at the Charles Street Market or for meal exchange during dinner at Levering Kitchens.

Option of No Meal Plan

Since students living in Bradford and Homewood Apartments and those in Roger’s House have access to their own full size kitchen with amenities, meal plans are optional. Blues Jays without a meal plan can still visit our locations using J-Cash, Credit and Debit.

For Blue Jays living in Bradford Apt., Homewood Apt. and Roger’s House who did not sign up for a meal plan during their Housing Room Selection process, you can visit the StarRez Housing Portal to add your desired meal plan. After logging into the portal, you will continue to the “Services” tab to follow the meal plan enrollment process.

Meal plans are optional for second-year students living in Homewood and Bradford Apartments or Roger’s House.

Meal Plan prices are subject to change upon approval of JHU Administration.
