Around campus for winter break, don’t forget to check out our hours of operation and closedown schedule. All locations are closed for Christmas Day (12/25) and New Year’s Day (1/1), pre-order meals can be ordered through our mobile app for both days. Option to select (2) meals each day available. We’re excited for the launch of the new Hopkins Dining program coming to Johns Hopkins University this fall! Hopkins Dining was created in response to the University’s decision to transition to a self-operated dining model, providing the institution with more freedom in developing a program that is focused on enhancing the student experience and implementing more sustainable food practices. Among the several changes that are underway, you can look forward to elevated menu options at each of our dining locations. Our residential locations, Hopkins Café (formerly Fresh Food Café) and Nolan’s on 33rd, will introduce new station concepts including Passport (international cuisine), Hot off the Press (made-to-order paninis) & more! Additionally, retail locations such as Charles Street Market will introduce new concepts including freshly-rolled sushi by Bento Sushi and Village Deli.

Breakfast at Hopkins Café offers several options each day of the week, including ready-made hot and cold items as well as all day create-your-own omelets and waffles. Eggs, breakfast potatoes, hot cereal, and a variety of meats and entreés rotate to pair with fresh fruit, Danishes, yogurt & granola, bagel and cereal stations for endless combinations of fare to start your day.
Passport is your destination for authentic international cuisine that will take you on a journey. Students can expect a rotating menu of entreés, sides, and accompaniments that accent various global trends and fusions throughout the semester. Be on the lookout for announcements of current and future offerings that will be at the station.
Woodstone features freshly fired Italian cuisine from our large Stone Hearth oven. Enjoy familiar flavors in artisan pizza built upon local scratch made dough as well as a daily rotating combination of comfort baked pasta, specialty items, and unique bread service.
Carvery blends the comfort of home cooking with the anticipation of fresh ingredients prepared from scratch. Break the monotony with a new cohesive main protein and bountiful side choices each meal period. Also enjoy the soup station made available each day. Enjoy the classics that you grew up with and remind you of home.
Root is a flavor-first entrée and two side option concept that provides meatless fare in a contemporary and fresh presentation. Root is an extension of our Carvery station and gives the same flavors utilizing meatless options. From vegan takes on traditional recipes to innovative one-of-a-kind dishes, this station is sure to please every palate.
- Hot Off the Press
Hot Off the Press gives students the option of personalizing a custom deli design as well as suggesting a chef created sandwich combination. Boundless opportunities exist with various sliced meats, cheeses, vegetables, and spreads to have your panini pressed to perfection. Gluten-free and vegetarian options will also be available.
Greens salad bar will offer an assortment of toppings and composed salads that will rotate daily to ensure variety and our commitment to make fresh healthy delicious options.
Our open fire station serves a variety grilled items and also features our new smashed burgers that will feature our high-quality, locally raised Roseda Beef.
- Nature Bar
This station will feature delicious fresh fruits, yogurts, and granola during the morning for a perfect nutritious station. Throughout the day, we will also add cold desserts to ensure every taste bud will be satisfied at this healthy station.
Nolan’s on 33rd is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious brunch and dinner!
At Build Your Own Bowl, choose your own custom flavor adventure with a unique base, protein, and toppings combination. Familiar cuisine mixed with international fusion gives this station a steady rotation of different choices throughout each semester.

Hopkins Dining has reinvented the Charles Street Market to spotlight even more of what a Blue Jay needs to survive the semester. The Meals-in-a-Minute wing will feature a greatly expanded grab ‘n’ go menu, while the BMore Healthy wing will feature fresh, local, and seasonal produce and healthy snacks. Whether you need a quick snack, supplies for your room, or ingredients for dinner, the Charles Street Market features something for every student at any time of the day!
Meals-in-a-Minute (MIM): No time to wait in line at Nolan’s or The Hopkins Café in between classes? Meals-in-a-Minute allows you to pick from a variety of sandwiches and salads, snacks, and a beverage- all for just one meal swipe!
Salad Bar: Brand new to Charles Street Market, the Salad Bar will feature a fully-customizable menu full with dozens of ingredients for you to build your perfect bowl for lunch.
Bento Sushi: Sushi is finally back at Hopkins! Bento Sushi features handmade-in-house sushi rolls, nigiri, and even poke bowls for you to order or grab n’ go.
Levering Kitchens is Hopkins’ official lunch spot and now open for dinner. Featuring hand-rolled sushi, fresh soup, salad and sandwich concept, a hot grilled-to-order station, grab and go daily made sandwiches, salads, and wraps and an authentic wok station, Levering Kitchens brings a restaurant-quality experience to the heart of campus.
- Grill: Stop by for some of your favorite grill items from burgers to french fries with some daily specials in between.
- Wok: Savor in the flavors of Asia with our Wok. You can expect to enjoy orange chicken, bulgogi beef, and other rotating dishes for a hot, delicious meal.
- Levering Taco Kitchens: Take your taste buds on a tour of authentic Hispanic flavors with tacos, burritos and, nachos as well as our selection of fresh salads and salsas.
- Fresh: We upped our game with a fresh salad bar offering the best produce, toppings, and protein. Start your bowl with greens or grains and go from there to create the perfect dish just to your liking!
- Toastee: Everyone’s favorite station, Toastee offers a variety of grilled cheeses with many different fillings. Choose your artisanal bread and enjoy one of our classics for the best toasted sandwich. Add on a soup for a delicious pairing.
- Grab and Go: Grab and go items at your convenience for those in a hurry. Choose from locally pre-packaged sandwiches, salads, fruit, yogurt, puddings, parfaits, and desserts and head off with a delicious and nutritious meal. From hot soups and sandwiches to cold salads and fruits, you can grab it all at Levering!
Now open for dinner with meal exchange options. use a meal swipe for an entrée, side and beverage between 4 – 7 pm!
Located on the first floor of Levering Hall, the Levering Cafe has paired with local favorite, Thread Coffee Roasters, to offer fair trade coffees and teas as well as a host of delicious grab and go meal options, and a wide selection of freshly baked bagels and pastries. Enjoy a relaxing atmosphere to sip your coffee or grab it to go for the best coffee in the heart of campus.
Peabody Dining Locations
The Peabody Dining Hall is a community gathering and popular dining spot for students, faculty, staff and Peabody Institute guests. We feature local farmers and artisans through our menu of scratch-made offerings that change daily. Our dining hall offers breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday-Friday and Brunch and Dinner on the weekends.
