Hopkins Dining offers a variety of events ranging including our monthly pop-ups, themed meals, cooking classes and sustainability events. Due to limited space, some events may require advanced registration. Below are events that require reservations on a first-come-first serve basis.

Hopkins Cooking Series
Hopkins Cooking Series is Hopkins Dining’s initiative to teach guests basic cooking skills and techniques that can be applied to life outside of the classroom. This class is geared towards enrichment of students while also encouraging students to cultivate meaningful relationships with the Hopkins Dining leadership team. To participate in Hopkins Cooking Series, fill out the form below. Please note that we have limited capacity, sign-ups are on a first-come-first serve basis and will fill up fast. We will send confirmation emails letting you know if you made the list.
Our next Hopkins Dining Cooking Series will be on Tuesday, November 12 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm in Scott-Bates Commons Salons B &C. Check back the end of October for the reservation form!

Farmers Market Visits
Farmers Market Visits
Each semester, Hopkins Dining’s Sustainability Manager, Graham Browning, organizes a Farmers Market meet-up at 2 of our local Baltimore farmers markets. One right here near our own Homewood community in Waverly at the 32nd Street Farmers Market and the Baltimore Farmers Market (under 83 near Mercy Medical Center).
This semester meet ups will be:
- Saturday, November 9 from 9 – 11 am to the 32nd Street Farmers Market in Waverly (we will meet at 9 am at the corner of 33rd and St Paul Street near Barnes and Noble to walk over together)
- Sunday, November 10 from 9 – 11 am to the Baltimore Farmers Market (under 83 near Mercy Medical Center, we will meet at the corner of Guilford Ave. and E. Pleasant St.- easy JHMI shuttle ride to Peabody and then walk down St. Paul a few blocks to E. Pleasant St. and then walk left/east over a few blocks toward Guildford Ave.)
Please sign up below by end of the day on Thursday, November 7 to attend, so we can get an estimated count of who will join us. We will be meeting at 9am for either Farmers Market below. More details to come in the confirmation emails.

Local Partner Tour
Each semester, Hopkins Dining visits one of our local partners (i.e. produce suppliers, bakeries etc.) to provide the Hopkins community with an in-depth look into their brand and operations. Join our Sustainability Manager, Graham Browning, to learn more about our partnerships and commitment to local sourcing. Please check back each month for details on our upcoming trips!
Our next Local Partner Tour trip will be to on Thursday, March 20 during spring break. Local Partner and time TBD. Transportation will be provided. Registration is required and space is limited, registration is open early March, check back then!
