Michelle Mooney

Executive Director of Operations

Michelle has been a member of the Hopkins Dining team since January 2022 overseeing all of the food service operations on Homewood and Peabody campuses. She also oversees Hopkins Dining’s Marketing team and 1876 Distinction, our onsite catering department. Michelle earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University, and attended the Academy for Women and Leadership at John Hopkins University’s Carey Business School. Michelle has worked in food service for over 20 years in Convention Centers and Stadiums but the majority of her career has been in higher education.

Michelle’s favorite part about the Hopkins Dining program is being able to talk with and gain feedback from the students then taking it to the culinary team to see how they make the changes. She also loves our authenticity and the community that comes with our program. Her favorite type of foods include pizza or anything Italian. When she is not helping to make an awesome dining program, Michelle loves spending time with her family, traveling especially to Maine and relaxing on the beach.
