Hopkins Dining offers a variety of events ranging including our monthly pop-ups, themed meals, cooking classes and sustainability events. Due to limited space, some events may require advanced registration. Below are more details about our events and information on which ones require reservations on a first-come-first serve basis.

Hopkins Cooking Series

Hopkins Cooking Series is Hopkins Dining’s initiative to teach guests basic cooking skills and techniques that can be applied to life outside of the classroom. This class is geared towards enrichment of students while also encouraging students to cultivate meaningful relationships with the Hopkins Dining leadership team. To participate in Hopkins Cooking Series, fill out the form below. Please note that we have limited capacity, sign-ups are on a first-come-first serve basis and will fill up fast. We will send confirmation emails letting you know if you made the list.

Our next Hopkins Dining Cooking Series will be on Monday, April 14 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm in Scott-Bates Commons Salons B &C. Sign up today, spaces are limited and will fill up fast!

Local Partner Tour

Local Partner Tour

Each semester, Hopkins Dining visits one of our local partners (i.e. produce suppliers, bakeries etc.) to provide the Hopkins community with an in-depth look into their brand and operations. Join our Sustainability Manager, Graham Browning, to learn more about our partnerships and commitment to local sourcing. Please check back each month for details on our upcoming trips!

Our 2024-2025 Local Partner Tour trips are over for the year check back early Fall 2025 for our 2025-2026 trips! Transportation will be provided. Registration is required and space is limited!

Farmers Market Visits

Farmers Market Visits

Each semester, Hopkins Dining’s Sustainability Manager, Graham Browning, organizes a meet-up at a local Baltimore farmers market near our own Homewood campus at the 32nd Street Farmers Market.

The Spring semester meet up will be Saturday, May 3 from 9 – 11 am (we will meet at 9 am at the corner of 33rd and St Paul Street near Barnes and Noble to walk over together)

No registration is required, just show up at 9am, the first 5 people to join get a Dining swag bag.
