Picnic for the Planet 2025

Celebrate Earth Month with Hopkins Dining during our Picnic for the Planet event! This elevated picnic will feature a sustainable buffet-style dinner, live band, outdoor games, activities and more!

The event is open all meal plan holders and other forms of payment are accepted as well (i.e. Dining Dollars, J-Cash, Debit/Credit). Advanced registration is required through the Transact Mobile Ordering App (instructions below) by Tuesday, April 15. Spaces are limited, so sign up today!

HOW TO REGISTER

How to Download the App:

  1. Download the Transact Mobile Ordering App from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Select Campus: “Johns Hopkins University-Homewood”
  3. Login with your JHED-ID

How to Register:

  1. Open the Transact Mobile Ordering App.
  2. Select the “Hopkins Café.”
  3. Now, select your tender (how you are paying), “Board Meals MO” (Meal Swipe), “Dining Dollars,” “HW Guest,” “J-Cash” or “Peabody Dining Dollars (reset)”
  4. Then, select “Picnic for the Planet 2025” or “Picnic for the Planet Meal Swipe 2025 ” at the bottom.
  5. Next, click “Customize” at the bottom of the screen.
  6. Then, select any dietary preferences, select “none of the above” if these do not apply.
  7. Then, click “Next” to continue to allergies and foods that you must avoid, select “none of the above” if these do not apply.
  8. Then, click “Add to Order”
  9. Then, select “Checkout”; once at checkout, change the order date at the top of the screen to Tuesday, Apr.22. If wrong date is chosen, it will create an error in your reservation. Your payment will be taken out of your account when you place the order.
  10. Select “Pay” once complete at the bottom and then “confirm.”
  11. When you get to the event, stop by the check-in table to show your receipt and J-Card and get your wristband.

In the event of inclement weather, the event rain date is Wednesday, April 23 from 5-7pm. Those registered will be notified in advance of the event if it has to be moved.
