Demetrius Heckstall

Director of Dining Operations

Demetruis has been a Hopkins Dining team member since March 2024 and serves as the Director of Residential Dining. Demetrius has a BA in Business Management. Some of his past experiences have been with Coppin State University- Baltimore, MD, Saint Joseph University- Philadelphia, PA, Drexel University- Philadelphia, PA and Bloomsburg University- Scranton, PA.

Demetrius’ favorite part of our program is the diversity and inclusion across campus. In his position, he works with our staff and the Hopkins Community to help embrace the diverse and inclusive culture. His favorite food is braised beef short rib with a red wine reduction. When Demetrius’ not on campus he enjoys bowling, skiing and spending as much time as he can with his family.

Demetrius is excited to be a part of John Hopkins University. As an experienced leader within the hospitality industry, he looks forward to other opportunities to serve the John Hopkins community.
