John Salerno

Dining Services Facilities Operations Manager

John joined Hopkins Dining in April 2025 as the Dining Services Facilities Operations Manager. In his role, he manages service requests for all dining equipment and building maintenance requests and coordinates and oversees work performed by internal and external contractors. John has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from York College of Pennsylvania and has 35 years of experience in the Food Service industry including Veterans Administration Hospital System & Aramark. He also has 25 years of experience serving various roles with Baltimore County Public School system.

John’s favorite part of our program is interacting with his fellow team members and assisting with the needs of Hopkins Dining. His favorite food is a wide variety of foods that Hopkins Dining offers across our various dining locations. When John is not on campus managing our equipment and buildings, he enjoys sports, the outdoors, playing the drums and also spending time with his family, including his two children. Fun fact, John is a lifelong member of The Sons of Italy Foundation.
