Discover a New Dining Experience at the Bloomberg Student Center
The new Bloomberg Student Center is designed to be more than just a building—it’s a gathering place for eating, connecting, and relaxing. Opening in Fall 2025, the center will introduce exciting new dining options that highlight Baltimore’s food culture while offering students, faculty, and staff a variety of flavors to fit every schedule.
Ralph’s Marketplace
The ground level will feature a lively food hall with six vendors chosen to showcase both global tastes and local favorites. Beginning in Fall 2025, students find a mix of quick-service spots and specialty kitchens where you can grab a meal between classes or sit down with friends.
Highlights include:
-
Koshary – A spin on Baltimore’s popular Koshary Corner, this stall will serve Egyptian-inspired dishes such as lentil, rice, and pasta bowls, plus halal shawarma, falafel, and vegetable-forward options.
-
Connie’s – Building on the success of Connie’s Chicken and Waffles, this expanded menu will feature chicken sandwiches, wings, tenders, breakfast favorites, and more.
-
Urban Kitchen – Created by the team behind Hampden’s Urban Oyster, this concept brings bold flavors with items like brisket bánh mì, mushroom fritters, burgers, and salads.
-
Lucky Danger – Led by Hopkins alum and award-winning chef Tim Ma, this stall will serve approachable yet modern takes on Chinese-American classics.
-
Any Day Now – Also operated by Tim Ma, this comfortable café space will offer fresh coffee and light bites, perfect for study breaks or morning starts.
Mo’s Place
At the top of the student center, Mo’s Place will serve as both a dining destination and a social space. The restaurant, named in honor of alumnus Morris Offit, will be directly connected to the Brody Learning Commons for added convenience.
Highlights include:
-
A pub-style menu with a mix of shareable plates, sandwiches, and hearty entrées.
-
A full bar license, offering beer, wine, and cocktails—making it the only venue of its kind on the Homewood campus.
-
Extended hours to support campus life, with late-night service available on weekends.
All food hall vendors will accept Dining Dollars and debit/credit. Click here to view location hours of operation.
Rooted in Baltimore
The dining program was developed through a collaborative process with over 100 local businesses. Finalists were invited to share their food with the Hopkins community at a campus expo, where more than 200 students, staff, and faculty provided feedback. The result is a dining lineup that reflects both the diversity of Baltimore’s food scene and the tastes of the Hopkins community.
