Matt Moss

Assistant Vice Provost, Hopkins Dining and Auxiliary Services

Matthew Moss serves as the inaugural Assistant Vice Provost for Hopkins Dining and Auxiliary Services at Johns Hopkins University. In this role, Mr. Moss will oversee the transition from the current contracted dining operation to a self-operated model, which will give the university greater flexibility and oversight of the campus dining experience. In addition, he will build and lead the dining team beyond the transition, while developing a program that focuses on menu and concept diversity, student experiences, and sustainability.

Mr. Moss came to Johns Hopkins with a wide breadth of experience in the food and beverage industry. He spent over 17 years with Aramark in a variety of leadership roles from leading convention center operations, to overseeing dining services at the College of William and Mary, to being a part of the senior leadership team for the Beijing Olympics. Most recently, Mr. Moss was a regional director of operations for Levy Restaurants in their convention center division.

Originally from New Zealand, Mr. Moss holds a degree in hotel and hospitality management from the Wellington Institute of Technology.
