On December 6th and 7th, students, family, and staff gathered in Levering Hall to celebrate the end ofPod photo - showing Hopkins students and Baltimore City elementary school students posing with certificates in front of a velvet curtain. another successful semester of Tutorial Project. The Johns Hopkins Tutorial Project is an after-school tutoring program that provides academic support for elementary school students (grades 1-5). Elementary school tutees receive one-on-one tutoring in reading and math. The closing ceremony is a semesterly tradition that serves to recognize the hard work the tutees accomplished.

Each tutee was called up to the podium to receive a certificate decorated by their Hopkins tutor and a book picked out at an earlier held book fair. While many tutees remain part of the Tutorial Project past the ceremony, these past two days are an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments and confidence built throughout the semester.

The night ended with slices of cake, plenty of pod photos, and a chance to mingle.
