Michael Rush
Assistant Director, Community Impact Initiatives
Michael is an enthusiastic, creative, innovative, 21st century professional. He is a first-generation college graduate from Hartford, CT, with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Service from Springfield College, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from American International College, both in Springfield, MA.
Michael has over 10 years of experience working with children, youth and families in various capacities, including within the classroom, after-school programming, social work & case management, and higher education, both within Academic and Student Affairs.
Michael seeks to add value to individuals and organizations where he serves, with special emphasis in areas and those who may need it the most, in efforts to maximize their capacities as active, effective and productive contributors to society. Michael is also the Founder and Executive Director of the New Sound Youth Corporation, a grassroots nonprofit performing arts group; a founding Board member of Trinity Productions Youth Performing Arts Agency; and is an active member of numerous professional and social organizations.
