Showing Up for Transgender, Intersex, and Non-Binary People

three people in front of the trans flag

In light of the rumored DHHS memo reported by the New York Times, on November 8, 2018, Johns Hopkins students, staff, and faculty gathered for a group photograph in front of the Johns Hopkins Hospital dome.

This was a public statement to show support for all transgender, intersex, and gender minority members of our community. The purpose of this photo series is to show the world that we as an academic and medical center support and affirm the lives of individuals with diverse bodies and gender identities. We thank the Gertrude Stein Society for organizing this event!
