Luisa De Guzman

Assistant Director, Engaged Scholarship

Luisa joined the CSC team in August 2021. She oversees the Engaged Scholar Faculty and Community Fellows Program which supports partnerships between JHU faculty and leaders from Baltimore non-profits in co-teaching a Community-Based Learning course. By supporting Community-Based Learning at JHU, her goal is to give the Baltimore community a greater presence in campus life. She received her BA in English from Rollins College and her MA in Educational Leadership: Higher Education – Student Personnel from the University of Central Florida. Luisa has been in higher education since 2012 and has experience working as a student affairs professional, serving as a co-educator in the functional areas of community engagement, residential life, career development, and leadership learning. Prior to joining JHU, Luisa served Rollins College and Stetson University in different leadership capacities within community engagement.
