Shanelle Grier, M.S.
Assistant Director, Student Organizations
Shanelle Grier joined Johns Hopkins University in August 2024 as the Assistant Director of Student Organizations in the LEED Office. In this role, she oversees undergraduate registered student organizations (RSOs), manages the HopkinsGroups platform, coordinates the Student Involvement Fair, and supervises the student LEED Consultants. She is committed to helping students find meaningful involvement opportunities and develop their leadership skills, with the goal of creating an inclusive and engaging environment where students can thrive and explore their interests.
Before joining Johns Hopkins, Shanelle worked as a Program Coordinator at Temple University, where she co-advised the Main Campus Program Board and supported various student engagement initiatives. Her experience in student engagement spans several years, including her work as a graduate assistant in late-night programming and her leadership roles as an undergraduate student. These experiences shaped her passion for guiding students and fostering their personal and professional growth.
A Baltimore County native, Shanelle holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a master’s degree in Higher Education Policy and Student Affairs from West Chester University.
